3 launches own mobile App Store – Apps on 3
Due to the massive popularity of Apples App Store, 3mobile has launched their own version called Apps on 3.
“This, as Three says, is the place where our customers can go to get cool and useful applications to download to their 3 mobile. We have selected a range of apps available on the Mobile Web and present them in one convenient place.”
“Instead of us hosting the apps ourselves we have chosen to select external sites that offer apps and help our customers find them. This means we can offer a broad range of apps (eg, from a pedometer app that measures how far you jog, to a handwriting recognition app).”
In order to download most of the apps listed within the “Apps on 3″ store, users will require an X-Series mobile Internet pack and downloading from the App store will contribute to your Mobile Internet data usage.
Whilst there are nowhere near the tens of thousands of Apps for download from the Apple Apps store, it is nice to know that 3 are trying to keep up with the Jones’
To access “Apps on 3″ simply hit the “Planet 3″ key and hit the “All Products A – Z” link.
