Firmware Update – Nokia E71 receives massive firmware update – 200.21.118
One of my favourite Nokia devices the Nokia E71 has just recieved a massive Firmware Update. This update is not available to all product codes so you will have to check with the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) to confirm if you are able to get it.
If not then your only option is to de-brand your handset.
Remember to do a complete backup of your handset prior to updating your handset with this new firmware.

I already upgraded my E71. And until now I cannot use the phone anymore. The phone keep asking the lock code on the main screen. after entered the code: 123456 (default), it’s still asking for the lock code. So far, no solution for that problem. Now I’m using iphone…no more nokia.

try 12345 as lock code and please reply if it´s working.

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, I THINK IT IS VERY UNFAIR THAT NOKIA COMPANY DOESN’T GIVE US A SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEM IN THIS FORUM OR IN NOKIA FORUM WEBSITE.
I HAVE TRIED WITH ALL COMMON PASSWORDS AND NOTHING.
IS THIS LEGAL THAT THEY LOCK YOUR PHONE WHEN YOU UPDATE THE SOFTWARE???
THIS IS NOT LEGAL IN MY COUNTRY.

The new firmware 200.21.118 still hasn’t done anything about the pathetic reception problems that persist with the E71. Maybe just bad design flaw.
