How to: change the icons on your Nokia N95’s or other S60 device’s home screen (Active Standby)

One of the most useful features of Symbian Series 60 (S60), the operating system found on phone such as the Nokia N95, E65, N73, N80, N81 etc is Active Standby.
Active Standby allows you to customise the six (6) shortcut icons on the phones standby screen.
This Icons can link to any installed application, game or web browser bookmark.
The problem with Active Standby is that the settings are buried deep within the settings menu and is often missed.
To change your Active Standby icons simply:
- Press Menu
- Navigate to Tools, the Settings
- Select the General option
- Select Personalisation
- Select Standby mode
- You will now have three (3) options
- Active Standby
Select this option to toggle Active Standby on or off - Shortcuts
These allow you to change the Left & Right Softkey functions - Active Standby apps
This is where you select which Applications or Shortcuts you want displayed on your Standby screen.
- Active Standby
Customising these options is the quickest and easiest way to personalise your new phone and will bring your most used phone functions to your very finger tips.

That is my most favourite theme of all. It actually comes in 3x different flavours. Green, Black and Light Blue.
You can find them for free download here: http://www.zedge.net/themes/1187/n95-themes/0-4-1-1-stave/?updPhone&searchphr=stave&searchcat=themes
