Psiloc GSync

What a great little Mobile App this is!
As a lover of my Nokia N95, Gmail and a hater of the delete function, this was the first app I installed from my Nokia User Survey thank you pack!
In a nutshell this little app automaticlly syncronises your SMS’s with your Gmail account.
Once installed you simply enter your Gmail address and password, select your sync schedule and whether you want to sync sent, received SMS’s and MMS’s. Thats it.
The app will then connect to your account, create a label called SMS and begin uploading.
I did encounter a couple of problems however. The Psiloc website states that Psiloc GSync is compatible with Google Apps accounts however I simply could not get it to connect. Thus I had to sync with my backup Gmail account. Then in order to get my SMS’s into my Google Apps account I had to set my Apps account to POP into my gmail account and download all emails.
Not ideal but workable.
I also found that the help files and website support to be vague and to be honest lacking. But a bit of tinkering and all is good.
It would also be great if the SMS’s “From” name was the senders contact name from my mobile.
Again not a major issue but a nice to have.
I also noticed that you could only sync a maximum of 200 SMS’s per day.
Overall I am quite happy with Psiloc GSync and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to keep a full backup of their communications.

Why not use simply Nokia Photos (aka Nokia Lifeblog) ? It will keep anything like SMS/MMS/Notes/Photos/Videos. And it’s free. And you don’t need to use any kind of bandwidth.

Ah yes that is a good solution however it backs up to your computer. What I am after is a remote solution that doesnt require any PC (or Mac) interaction to use.
